STATEMENT: SCIENTIST GROUP OPPOSES RAILROADING OF BULACAN AEROTROPOLIS

AGHAM – Advocates of Science and Technology for the People is alarmed with San Miguel Corporation’s announcement that the construction of the New Manila International Airport, more widely known as the Bulacan Aerotropolis, will begin this October after the Department of Justice has finished reviewing the said project. Despite being approved by various agencies of the government, the project still lacks a very important document, an environmental compliance certificate (ECC) from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
