ASAP or Alliance for Stewardship and Authentic Progress is an alliance ofchurches, Basic Ecclesial Committee’s (BEC’s), religious and socio-civic groups,youth and community organizations, and other concerned groups and individuals(particularly ofParañaque and Las Piñas) committed to defending patrimony andbasic human rights towards total community development.ASAP has been activeinopposing national and local government plans to reclaim Manila Bay .Reclamation negates the issues of stewardship on nature, governance in projectsthat are supposed to be for genuine development and respect of right to life,housing, and stable jobs of residents and communities
